Crazy, Possibly Brilliant Ice Cream: Chardonnay, Berries, Brown Butter United For 1 Night At Uncorked

WALNUT CREEK, CA — The flavors of a summer wine tasting have found their way into a combination of Chardonnay, strawberries, and brown butter that could be a train wreck on the tongue — or mad brilliance in the form of ice cream.

Lottie’s Creamery and Local Vines took the chance by creating Stag Hill Chardonnay Brown Butter Strawberry Swirl, a limited-edition flavor debuting Thursday at Walnut Creek Uncorked.

Made from scratch in Lottie’s Walnut Creek kitchen in Walnut Creek, the flavor combines rich brown butter ice cream, a fresh strawberry swirl, and Chardonnay sourced from Stag Hill, a collective of Lamorinda winemakers, represented by Local Vines, according to the organizers.
