Deadline Approaching for Scholarship Entry

Students from 6-12 grades may apply.

The deadline to submit applications for the Annual VFW National Junior and Senior High School Scholarship Program is Nov. 1. Hundreds of dollars are available locally, with the winners moving up to the state and national competitions. The national high school winner receives a $30,000 scholarship, while the junior high winner gets $5,000.

High school students (grades 9-12) compete in the Voice of Democracy, while junior high students (grades 6-8) compete in Patriot Pen.
