"Disneymania" Revisits Assistance League Way Side Inn Thrift Shop!

The dedicated member volunteers at Assistance League Way Side Inn Thrift Shop, located at 3521 Golden Gate Way, in Lafayette, revisit childhood adventure as they prepare for the annual “Disneymania” event, scheduled to begin Tuesday, June 14. “Mickey” aficionados and those young-at-heart won’t want to miss this.

Boasting all things Disney, this year’s inventory includes items that range from trinkets to home goods. 100 small 101 Dalmatian plastic figures, as well as the usual stuffed toy Disney characters, Winnie the Pooh included, appeal to all collectors. As in previous years, Disney dress up clothing and hats, resplendent with the Disney logo, are available. Unfortunately, only three quilts are in stock, two featuring Mickey Mouse and one featuring Cinderella and her Fairy Godmother.

Most recently, the thrift shop received a collection of Disneyland/California Adventure Park play sets. These replicas of rides enjoyed by millions at the park include the Haunted Mansion, Dumbo, Cinderella’s Castle, Sun Wheel and Orange Zinger. These were originally sold as limited edition pieces. Several other quality Disney collectables make for a great nostalgic experience.

And the list goes on, as in a cast of high end collectors’ dolls, baseball cards complete with serial numbers depicting all-time heroes, and Star Wars items.
