The California designer and mom of two is altering the business of dress-making allowing the girls the unique opportunity to be involved with every element of the creation of their perfect dress -- from choosing the style, to selecting the fabric and even deciding what color buttons are used.

“Ive been inspired by my 4-year-old daughter and the rewarding process of designing her last few birthday party dresses. I have tried to instill in her the idea that fashion should not be a throwaway item, and that it should be a creative and sustainable concept not just something churned out of sweatshops. And I want to promote this through Isabel Azam,” says Jaleh.
As part of the launch of Isabel Azam, Jaleh is hosting a free fashion show at Hacienda de las Flores in Moraga on July 22. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the show starting at 6 p.m.
