In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Walnut Creek is pleased to announce a partnership with SHELTER, Inc. for emergency rental and utility assistance for low-income residents. A total of $105,000 from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Community Development Block Grant Stimulus Funds (CDBG-CV) are available to support low-income households affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
These funds are only available to assist low-income families and individuals that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and are unable to pay rent or utility bills due to a reduction of work hours, furloughs, unemployment, and/or diagnosis with COVID-19.
