The Contra Costa County Genealogy Society will meet September 13, 2012, 7:00 PM at the LDS Church, 1360 Alberta Way, Concord. The speaker will be Dean McLeod on the topic “What I have learned over the past 37 years.” Dean has been a full-time professional genealogist since 1975 and was a founding board member of the Association of Professional Genealogists. He is a former staff researcher for the Brigham Young University Family History Services He spent the first 10 years specializing in Scottish and English research. Dean is a member and former board member of the Contra Costa County Historical Society.
