Congressman Jerry McNerney (CA-11) will hold a grants workshop on Thursday, August 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. at the San Ramon Community Center's Alcosta Room. The workshop will provide information about the availability of federal and foundation grants and how to apply for them. The workshop is targeted at government, educational, and non-profit organizations.
The workshop will be headlined by a representative from the Foundation Center. Established in 1956, the Foundation Center maintains a comprehensive database on foundation and corporate grants, issues informational resources, conducts research and offers educational programs.
Speakers on federal grant opportunities will include representatives from the Department of Education and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
