History comes alive as the City celebrates Heritage Day at Old Borges Ranch. *Private cars will not be allowed on the road to Borges on this date, but you can catch a shuttle bus from Northgate High School, 425 Castle Rock Road, for a quick ride up to the ranch. Admission is free; shuttle is $5 per family.
There are numerous activities scheduled for the day including movies, crafts, storytelling, dancing demonstrations and children's music. There will be many local organizations on hand to share information on gardening, beekeeping and a variety of outdoor activities. The Pleasant Hill 4H will do presentations about the animals that live at the ranch and Ranger Bruce will entertain and educate in the Blacksmith Shop.
Don't forget to allow time for pony rides and old-time games and crafts for the children to enjoy at a very lost cost. Food will be available for purchase or, if you prefer, you may picnic in the adjacent Hanna Grove/Bob Pond area.
