We will explore some of the trails (even some of the steep ones of Las Trampas and Rocky Ridges) looking to find breeders such as: Black-headed Grosbeak; Lazuli Bunting; Bullock's Oriole; Horned Lark; Lark Sparrow; and the rare, Grasshopper Sparrow. Down in the more riparian draws of the Gallery Forests will be land birds such as: Brown Creeper; Western Wood-Pewee; Olive-sided Flycatcher; Pacific-slope Flycatcher; White-breasted Nuthatch; Hutton's and Warbling Vireo; House and Bewick's Wren, Dark-eyed Junco. In chaparral we may find California Thrasher on territory. This area may also bring out Red-shouldered Hawk along with American Crows. Meet on site, directions will be sent.
