Join us in welcoming artist Karen Leffler at an opening reception for her exhibit of watercolors at the library.
Outdoor adventures and world travel have inspired Karen to paint from photos, memory or plein aire. Some of the art on display are from trips to The Holy Land, the Sierras, Yosemite and throughout local regional parks such as Briones and Mt. Diablo. She sees watercolor as an adventure where she allows the water to do the work to create many wonderful surprises.
Karen Leffler discovered a passion in watercolor three years ago when she accompanied a friend to a plein aire outing in Lake Tahoe. Since then, she has immersed herself in classes, workshops, and plein aire to create her own style of watercolor.
