Free Handcrafted Holiday Sale Supports Walnut Creek Arts Programs This Weekend

More than 100 artists are selling their work here in Walnut Creek. Plus, make-and-take workshops.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — If you're just getting started on holiday shopping, here's a great way to find some unique gifts.

The Handcrafted Holiday Sale at Center for Community Arts is this weekend, and offers handmade ceramics, glass, jewelry, fiber arts, photography, prints, and much more – all by Community Arts teaching artists and students. More than 100 artists are represented.

And while you're scoring some great gifts, 25 percent of your purchase is donated to community arts education.

An opening reception will be held on Friday, Dec. 2 from 5 to 9 p.m. offering live music, free craft classes and demos. The sale continues from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec. 3 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 4.
