
WALNUT CREEK, CALIF.—November 12, 2013—Lindsay Wildlife Museum (LWM), http://wildlife-museum.org/, is pleased to announce the hire of two staff members who will interface heavily with the community and the general public. Silvia Sanchez has been named corporate and foundation relations officer, and Rachel Simmons is the organization’s marketing and public relations manager.
Sanchez is charged with cultivating key relationships with corporate, foundation and government entities, and expanded the institutional funding base of the museum. A graduate of Stanford University and Monterey Institute of International Studies. Sanchez joins LWM after working in program operations for conservation non-profits WildAid and The Otter Project, as well as her prior work in marketing and communications for Beau-coup, Inc.
An alumna of Chico State University, Simmons serves as chief media and community representative for the organization. She will develop and execute strategic marketing and public relations efforts for LWM. With a background in travel & tourism and nonprofit marketing, Simmons has held positions with Visit Tri-Valley and Charles Zukow Associates.

Lindsay Wildlife Museum connects people with wildlife to inspire responsibility and respect for the world we share. The museum is a unique natural history and environmental education center where wild live animals are just inches away from visitors. The museum includes the first wildlife rehabilitation hospital established in the U.S.

September 21–June 15: Wednesday–Friday 12 PM–5 PM, Saturday–Sunday 10 AM–5 PM
June 18, 2014–Labor Day: Wednesday–Sunday 10 AM–5 PM
Admission is free for members and children under 2 years old, $8.50 for adults, $7.50 for seniors 65+ and $6.50 for children 2 -17.
