Gunman Robs Maternity Clothing Store In Walnut Creek

No one was injured in the robbery Monday evening.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — A Walnut Creek maternity apparel store was robbed Monday evening by a man who pointed a gun at an employee and made off with cash, police said.

Someone called 911 at 5:38 p.m. to tell police about a robbery at Destination Maternity at 1604 Mt. Diablo Blvd.

The suspect pointed a gun at an employee and demanded cash from the register. The employee gave the suspect cash and the suspect left the store.

Police said no one saw the robber get in a vehicle. All the employees and customers were unharmed.

Police searched the area with a dog but did not locate the suspect. The robber was described as a Hispanic man in his 30s, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds with black hair.

Police said the suspect was wearing a red track jacket. The top of the jacket was red with a white stripe and the bottom was blue.
