Hit-and-Run Driver Sought: 2 Cyclists Struck On Nearby Diablo Road
One victim airlifted to Eden Medical, with the other taken by ambulance to John Muir in Walnut Creek.

WALNUT CREEK, CA – Two people on bicycles were struck by a vehicle Saturday afternoon in a hit-and-run collision in Danville and police are asking for help finding the vehicle and the driver, the city's police chief said.
Someone called police at 2:01 p.m. to tell them that a collision occurred on eastbound Diablo Road and Clydesdale Drive, Chief Allan Shields said.
A motorist on Diablo Road hit the two people on bicycles pedaling in the same direction.

One person was airlifted to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley and the other was taken by ambulance to the John Muir Medical Center campus in Walnut Creek.
Shields said police were told that both victims suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.

The driver of the vehicle initially stopped but then drove away.
The vehicle was described as a silver Ford Escape or a similar vehicle. Anyone with information about the collision is asked to call Sgt. Ron Hoekwater at (925) 314-3703.
