Honoring John Muir Respiratory Therapist Heather Moore: Photos
Heather wears this protective gear while caring for coronavirus patients at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek.
WALNUT CREEK, CA — Our photos of the day are typically lovely landscapes, birds and animals, and flowers. But during these extraordinary times of the coronavirus pandemic, Dennis Moore has submitted a pair of photos that show one of the faces behind the effort to save lives.
Meet Heather Moore. Heather is a Respiratory Therapist at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. Dennis tells us, "She sleeps during the day, and spends 12 hours at night caring for Coronavirus patients (and other patients with respiratory illnesses).
"She is worried about getting the bug but has a moral responsibility to help people. She doesn’t get a chance to go for a walk or any other things that we get to do.

"She has accepted another Respiratory therapist to live at her home for a while so they can work more hours without exposing the virus to her family.
