JFK University Hosts Suicide Prevention Workshop for Veterans and Service Members October 24
University's "Front Line to Home Front" Workshop Assists Veterans and Service Members

The Front Line to Home Front Workshop will feature clinical social workers and suicide prevention experts from the Veteran’s Administration, along with the Director of the Preservation of the Force and Family Task Force for the US Special Operations Command Session. Representatives from local veteran agencies and support organizations will also be on hand to speak with veterans regarding their individual needs.
WHEN: Saturday, October 24, 2015, 10 am – 2:30 pm

WHY: The risk of suicide among service members has been of increasing concern, garnering nationwide media attention. To respond to this, JFK University’s “Front Line to Home Front” workshop series this year will focus on providing information, resources, and tools for veterans, service members, and their families.
WHO: The event is open to veterans, current service members and their families, counselors, health/substance abuse providers, and advocacy groups and is sponsored by the Dean and Margaret Lesher Foundation.
