Kaiser Permanente Announces More Than $750,000 in Grants to Local Organizations

Grants are award to local organizations working on specific programs and projects that align with Kaiser Permanente's missions and goals.

Kaiser Permanente in the Diablo Area is awarding $773,815 to 40 non-profit organizations that provide community programs for improved health care access, perinatal health and healthy eating and active living.

Kaiser Permanente Community Benefit grants are awarded every year to local organizations working on specific programs and projects that align with Kaiser Permanente’s missions and goals.

The Diablo Area grantmaking program supports local non-profit, public health, and human service organizations that improve the health of under-served communities in Central and East Contra Costa County, and the Tri-Valley area of Alameda County.

This year, Kaiser Permanente has three objectives in its Community Benefit grants program: improve access to health care; perinatal health in East Contra Costa County and Healthy Eating Active Living.

“Kaiser Permanente is committed to improving the health of our members and the communities we serve,” says Molly Bergstrom, community benefit manager for Kaiser Permanente’s Diablo Service Area. “Through our Community Benefit program we are able to support the community programs and organizations that address the health needs of our most vulnerable residents.”
