This year’s Faces of Wildlife Gala focuses on Topaz, a golden eagle who came to Lindsay in 2005. Named after Lake Topaz near the area where she was found, this beautiful 11-pound bird is unable to fully extend her wing, which prevents sustained flight so she serves as an animal ambassador at Lindsay, teaching the world about her species. Locally, the nearby Diablo Range is home to one of the highest concentrations of wintering Golden Eagles ever recorded.
