Local Diver Kristian Ipsen Wins National Championship
Eighteen-year-old's last dive took the three-meter springboard trophy.
Kristian Ipsen, 18, of Clayton, on Saturday won the men's event in the AT&T National Diving Championship three-meter springboard at UCLA, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Ipsen, who attended DeLaSalle High in Concord, is planning to attend Stanford University in the fall.
On Saturday, Ipsen scored big in his final of six attempts to seize the championship, the Times reported.
