Get Caught Up on Your Energy Bill You may qualify to receive up to $1,000 per year to cover your late energy bills through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).* Eligibility is based on household size and income. LIHEAP will not ask you for the money back and it does not affect your credit score, it is funded through Federal and State grants. The payment is made directly to your energy provider.
