Made in the Shade Festival In Walnut Creek Sunday

The free event will include live music, food trucks, craft beer, vendor booths, sports activities, demonstrations, and giveaways.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — The Shadelands business and lifestyle center in Walnut Creek will be hosting a community-wide summer festival, Made in the Shade, on Sunday, June 26, 2022, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Shadelands SportsMall, 2640 Shadelands Drive, Walnut Creek.

Free and family-friendly, Made in the Shade will feature live music, food trucks, craft beer, vendor booths, sports activities, demonstrations, and giveaways.

Local taprooms and fan favorites Calicraft Brewing Company and Mike Hess Brewing will bring their best microbrews to the table. Scheduled food trucks include Ceviche, Chilly Willy’s Smokehouse BBQ, Cousins Maine Lobster, King Gyro, Street Steam Bunz, and Shadelands' own Z’s Cafe. Branded Made in the Shade sunglasses will go to the first 1,000 festival attendees.

Held in association with the Grand Opening of the Shadelands SportsMall, Made in the Shade will feature tours of the SportsMall and free sports activities for young and old including rock climbing, volleyball, soccer, basketball, yoga, taekwondo, and batting cages.

In addition to summer festival fun, Made in the Shade will honor the role public service plays in the health and well-being of our communities with a special Salute to Public Service presentation.

Shadelands businesses and nonprofits are encouraged to showcase their organizations with a table at the community-wide Made in the Shade festival. Logos and website URLs will be linked to the Made in the Shade interactive map.
