Elderly Alamo Man Dies In Walnut Creek Crash
The man's vehicle crashed into a tree Thursday morning.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — An 82-year-old Alamo man died in a solo-car crash in Walnut Creek this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at about 10:30 a.m. and involved a Volkswagen sedan that crashed into a ditch in the area of Danville Boulevard and Rudgear Road, CHP officials said.
Officers arrived to find the man unresponsive in the car. He was pronounced dead shortly afterward and his name has not been released.

Investigators determined the Volkswagen was traveling west on Rudgear Road and for some reason drove through the intersection with Danville Boulevard and went off the roadway, according to the CHP.
