Walnut Creek Murder Suspect Identified
Police say the murder happened in the 1800 block of Lacassie Avenue.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — Walnut Creek Police have identified the man arrested for murder Thursday evening - 34-year-old Hakim Madjour of Concord. He's being held in jail on a $1 million bail.
Police received a call about a disturbance at 6:52 p.m. Unfortunately, they were given the wrong address. Police finally found the right location at 7:19, the 1800 block of Lacassie Avenue. The victim, a 60 year old man, had suffered severe head injuries. Despite life-saving efforts, he died at the scene. His name has not been released pending notification of family.
Both the victim and the accused killer worked as security guards at a construction site. Police say, "Evidence indicates Madjour violently and unexpectedly attacked the victim which led to his death." A large metal pole was recovered at the crime scene.
