Mitchoff - Kumar Supervisor Seat Decided By Voters

District 4 covers parts of Walnut Creek.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — Karen Mitchoff won her third term on the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors, easily defeating challenger Harmesh Kumar.

Mitchoff, from Concord, received about 73 percent of the vote, according to complete unofficial election results. She represents District 4, which covers Concord, Pleasant Hill and Clayton, plus parts of Walnut Creek and unincorporated areas north of Mount Diablo.

Kumar, a Concord-based clinical psychologist and past candidate for the Concord City Council and for governor, had focused on improving county services, especially providing mental health care.
