CSAA Insurance Group Executive Named Among "Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business"
A CSAA Insurance Group executive based in Walnut Creek was named among the Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business. For 2020, sponsoring organization the San Francisco Business Times honored Andrea Hecht, executive vice president and chief financial officer.
The Most Influential Women Award recognizes Bay Area women who have made a difference as outstanding leaders in their organizations and communities, representing public and private companies, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations and government entities.

As a member of the organization’s executive team, Hecht leads the Finance division and is responsible for all accounting, financial planning and analysis, audit, investments and tax functions of the company, which generates more than $4 billion in revenue. Prior to her role as CFO, Hecht served as company controller, overseeing the general ledger, financial reporting, tax and enterprise disbursements functions. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with an accounting degree from Ohio State University, and a member of the American Institute of CPAs.
Hecht also champions inclusion and belonging throughout the company, and serves as executive sponsor for the company's Pride Employee Resource Group, which advances values of diversity and inclusion and is dedicated to creating an inclusive culture focused on promoting the LGBTQ+ community. Additionally, she volunteers regularly by participating in fundraisers benefiting Bay Area Wilderness Training and through beautification projects on Mt. Diablo and in Zion National Park.

Honorees of the award will be recognized at an awards dinner scheduled to be held on October 9, 2020 at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square.
