Mt. Diablo Unified Schools Closed Thursday
The district may also close on Friday because of poor air quality.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — All schools in Mt. Diablo Unified School District will be closed on Thursday and possibly Friday because of smoke.
The Bay Area Air Quality Control District reports that in the 60 years it has been monitoring air quality, this is the worst it has ever been.
Thursday is supposed to be even worse with wildfires in the North Bay continuing to rage and increased winds fanning the flames. Smoke is expected to get even worse on Friday and Saturday, according to the BAAQCD.
