October 25th. Public Astronomy Program On Mt Diablo

Please join Mt. Diablo Astronomical Society for the October 25th astronomy program at the Lower Summit Parking Lot of Mt. Diablo State Park

Please join Mt. Diablo Astronomical Society for the October 25th astronomy program at the Lower Summit Parking Lot of Mt. Diablo State Park. The program starts at 5:30pm (enter the park at least 45 minutes earlier) and will run until 11:00pm at the lower summit parking lot. Although there is no fee for this program there is a $10 park entrance fee.

This Saturday we will explore Earth and life: Why does Earth have abundant life, but nowhere else in our Solar System? How many planets like Earth are probably out there in our Galaxy? How are scientists finding them?

Bring kids, binoculars, warm clothes (temperature can drop), snacks, water. No need for a flashlight but if you must bring one cover it in red plastic. Escorted exit several times during the evening through North-gate entrance.
Astronomy program is weather dependent, including high fire danger.
