Pandemic Healthcare Workers Suffered Mental Strains Similar To Soldiers In Combat

For decades upon decades, doctors and nurses have been stepping up to fight deadly diseases.

When COVID-19 hit the U.S., they were on the frontlines of the deadly virus, so for many it didn't seem any differently, however it was.

A study by The Journal of General Internal Medicine has revealed that the levels of mental health distress felt by doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers in the pandemic were similar to what's seen in soldiers who served in combat zones.
