Pedestrian Hospitalized After Hit-and-Run in Nearby Concord

BREAKING: The victim suffered head injuries and was transported to John Muir in Walnut Creek.

CONCORD, CA – A pedestrian was taken to a hospital with head injuries after a vehicle struck her during a hit-and-run in Concord Sunday evening, according to police.

At about 6:30 p.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of Meadow Lane for a report of a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian, police Watch Commander Sgt. Russ Norris said.

The victim suffered moderate injuries and was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek.

A description of the vehicle was not immediately available.
