Photo of the Week: Walnut Creek Photographer’s Stunning Sunset Shot

Patch loves photos! Share your photos with Patch, and your work could be featured.

Walnut Creek photographer Bill Meredith‎ shared this gorgeous photo he took while visiting the Arches National Park in Moab, Utah.

“Sometimes you just shoot what presents itself and this was one of those occasions,” Meredith said. “The storm clouds showed up right at sunset and the sun bounced off the bottoms of the clouds. This always and I mean always makes for a spectacular sight! This time it happened with some greenery in the foreground (yes, a bit enhanced). Love me some deserts!”

Cell phones capture amazing images. True DSLR cameras render detail that almost looks surreal. If you have an awesome photo of nature, breath-taking scenery, kids caught being kids, a pet doing something funny or something unusual you happen to catch with your camera, we’d love to feature it on Patch.
