Police Capture Armed Robbery Suspects in Walnut Creek: Mugshots
They were cornered in the vicinity of Walnut Creek Center. No shots were fired.
WALNUT CREEK, CA — Walnut Creek Police have arrested two robbery suspects armed with guns. No one was injured, and no shots were fired. The suspects were identified as Edward Garofalo of Martinez and Luis Guerrero of Fairfield.
Lt. Jay Hill of the Walnut Creek Police Department said the incident began as a theft of construction equipment at the Marriott Hotel. A worker confronted the two suspects, who both pulled guns, according to Hill.
The suspects took off on foot. Officers received tips from the public on the suspects' whereabouts. At one point, they were even up on the freeway. They were finally cornered at Riviera and Pringle avenues where they were taken into custody without incident.

- 182 PC (conspiracy to commit crime) (both suspects)
- 496 PC (possession of stolen property) (Garofalo)
