WALNUT CREEK, CA — Power to 1,300 homes and businesses has been restored following PG&E's Public Safety Power Shutoff. The impacted neighborhoods were Larkey and Eccleston.

PG&E pulled the plug because of high winds that threatened to start a wildfire. The City of Walnut Creek reports, "Winds at the top of Mt. Diablo reached 75 mph last night."

For residents who had food spoil because of the power shutoff, you may file a claim with PG&E. Your homeowners insurance policy may also cover spoilage.
