Public Pays Tribute to Steve Jobs at Apple Store
They leave Post-Its and flowers at the South Main Street outlet.
The tributes to the late Steve Jobs came into — and onto —, Walnut Creek.
Customers left a handful of bouquets on the sidewalk against the massive glass windows of the store — in memory of the Apple co-founder and visionary who died Wednesday.
They also left a couple colorful Post-Its, one saying "Steve — Thank you for making life better & easier. You will be forever missed." Also taped to the window was a fortune (without its cookie) saying, "Your skills in management will serve you well in school or work."
Workers at the store said many customers were expressing condolences as they came in to sample the latest wares.
Tributes were reported at many Apple stores in the Bay Area and around the country. Legions of commentators opined on the Jobs legacy.
