Ride Out to Horse Faire's Wild West Days

Looking for something a fun-filled, free, family event to do Saturday? Come out to Heather Farm Equestrian Center in Walnut Creek for Wild West Days at the Horse Faire and get to know a horse close-up and personal.

Kick off your Easter weekend by revisiting the Wild West and the wonderful world of horses on Saturday, April 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A unique way to spend your Saturday, the Heather Farm Park Horse Faire in Walnut Creek provides family entertainment, horse riding demonstrations, old-time gunfighters, and activities for kids like panning for gold and painting live horses. Best of all, it’s free!

The horse demonstrations will feature a variety of breeds—everything from minis and therapeutic horses to Arabian horse drill teams (some even dressed as Easter bunnies).

Winston Churchill said, “There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man.” You are cordially invited to explore that possibility.

Discover what the world of horses is all about. Opening ceremony is at 11 a.m. following the completion of the 10 a.m.  The farm and community center are located at 301 North San Carlos Dr. in Walnut Creek. Just look for the mini horses and follow them to Horse Faire.
