East Bay SPCA Plans 2 'Howl-A-Ween' Drive-Thrus

It's a candy giveaway, with costumes welcomed in Oakland and Dublin. Fido can come, too!

OAKLAND, CA — East Bay SPCA has two events planned this month — in Oakland and Dublin — to ensure a Happy Howl-O-Ween for trick-or-treaters, even the furry ones!

The nonprofit is hosting a "Halloween Meow & Howl Drive-Thru" at both locations on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., with a giveaway of candy, pup- and kitty-friendly treats and activity books for the little ones. Shelter dogs will be there, too, for a festive "howl-o."

Participants must wear masks and remain in vehicles, to comply with COVID-19 guidelines, and no walk-ups are permitted, organizers said.
