Shop Owner Fights Off Robbery Attempt (Video)
The suspect pepper sprayed the shop owner and a customer, but it didn't end there.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — Police in Walnut Creek are investigating an attempted robbery that occurred Thursday at a watch store.Officers with the Walnut Creek Police Department responded Thursday to the OC Watch Company at 1507 Cypress St. on a report of a robbery.
Police said a man dressed as a construction worker entered the store, handed the owner a clipboard and asked the owner to sign a form in order to shut off the power to the store. When the owner looked down at the clipboard, the suspect sprayed the owner and a nearby customer with pepper spray, police said.
Another suspect used a baseball bat to smash a display case. A third suspect was waiting outside, police said.
The owner was able to scare away the suspects before they were able to steal any merchandise.

The suspects fled the store and ran to a Dodge Challenger that was parked on Commercial Lane. The vehicle went south on Commercial Lane.
The suspects were described as black men, about 6 feet 2 inches tall and wearing white construction hard hats and construction vests, police said.
