Snip-its Opens Cutting-Edge Kids Salon in Walnut Creek
Local Entrepreneurs Welcome Families to New Opening Location at 2252 Oak Grove Rd

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. –This November, parents and children will be lining up to celebrate the opening of Snip-its, a kid-focused salon and entertainment concept located at 2252 Oak Grove Rd. in Walnut Creek, one block from Ygnacio by Nob Hill Supermarket and MyGym.
Snip-its is dedicated to making haircuts fun for children and relaxing for parents. Greeted by Snip-its friendly team members, the children are taken on the Snip-its haircut adventure. While the child is kept entertained with custom activities featuring Snips and The Gang, the stylist works her Snip-its Magic.
Beyond the traditional haircut, Snip-its also offers birthday parties, spa services, and its own professional brand of hair care products. As part of their partnership with the national Autism Speaks organization, the brand implements a one-of-a-kind, stylist training program specifically for children with Autism. The program is virtually unheard of in the hair care industry and one of Snip-its most rewarding endeavors.

Snip-its Walnut Creek is owned by local entrepreneurs, Colette and Greg Becker. They began their careers in the computer industry helping organizations streamline processes. In 2015, Greg and Colette began a journey to find a business that would fit their interests and strengths. Standing in Snip-its in Palo Alto, CA in July of 2015, they felt at home. Its vibrant colors, good vibes, recession resistance, and kid focus is the right match for the Beckers and they are excited to be sharing it with the community.
As life-long residents of Walnut Creek, they are involved in the community and care about its residents. Greg is a CERT Operations Chief and Colette participates in various local mothers’ groups. “We hope to bring something to the Walnut Creek community that is helpful, engaging, liked, and creates a positive influence,” Greg said. “The best part about our business is that we are able to make both parents and children happy on a daily basis. “
