Spring Plant Sale at The Gardens at Heather Farm

The Gardens at Heather Farm celebrate the start of gardening season with its Spring Plant Sale featuring Mediterranean and California native plants, shrubs, ground cover, perennials, grasses, ferns, annuals and drought-tolerant plants. More than 150 unique plant species and varieties will be available for purchase in four-inch pots and gallon containers.
Garden Manager Brian Larsen will be on hand to answer questions and give pointers on purchasing and planting the perfect selections for this year’s garden.

Benefit: All proceeds from the plant sale benefit the ongoing maintenance of the free public garden and The Gardens at Heather Farm’s educational programs for children and adults.
When: Saturday, April 18, 8 a.m. – Noon.

About The Gardens at Heather Farm: Originally created in 1968 as a non-profit education garden, the six-acre showcase includes more than 20 sustainable gardens each with a different focus on landscape style and plants adapted to the area’s Mediterranean climate. Throughout the summer more than 1,000 roses are blooming in the premier rose garden. The Garden offers educational programs, horticultural therapy and is a favorite venue for weddings and other social events. Admission is free, The Garden is open daily during daylight hours and is wheelchair accessible.
