WALNUT CREEK, CA — Visitors to the Locust Street Festival on Wednesday will be the first to openly sip while they stroll through the streets of downtown Walnut Creek as part of a new entertainment zone.

The July 8 festival marks the debut of the Downtown Walnut Creek Entertainment Zone, a designated area where attendees can purchase alcoholic beverages from participating businesses and carry them while exploring downtown, listening to live music, shopping at local stores, and visiting festival attractions.

The festival also includes music, family-friendly entertainment, local artisans, and food vendors, as well as a gelato eating contest.
