successful aging discussion group, grieve and forgive, construct a beautiful life, protective and spiritual help, purpose and meaning

For four weeks in April, there will be a discussion group called Successful Aging at Grace Presbyterian Church. The discussions will be held on Tuesdays from 1:30 pm to 3 pm. The first presentation, on April 7, is entitled Grieve and Forgive. The topics for the following weeks are Construct A Beautiful Life As Is on April 14; Protective Help, Spiritual Help on April 21; and Purpose and Meaning on April 28. The group discussion will be presented and moderated by M.J. Palley and Pastoral Intern Denia Segrest.

The series was developed by M.J. Palley, a retired Licensed Clinical Social Worker. For 15 years Palley worked with several groups, including an aging population of individuals. She has also been a mental health therapist, caregiver, and case manager. The information presented will be very practical and it is hoped that participants will share stories.

Grace Presbyterian Church is located at 2100 Tice Valley Blvd. in Walnut Creek. For more information, call the church office at (925) 935-2100.
