Sur La Table Plans Contra Costa Return

WALNUT CREEK, CA — Sur La Table plans to return to Walnut Creek this fall, four years after its previous Broadway Plaza store closed.

The kitchenware retailer lists a new store at 1205 Broadway Plaza as “Opening Late Fall.” But an opening date has yet to be announced, and the store page lists every day’s hours as closed.

Sur La Table sells quality cookware, bakeware, knives, dinnerware, and kitchen tools.

The company also offers cooking classes, though its Walnut Creek store page currently says no classes are offered at that location.

The company’s previous Walnut Creek location was expected to close at the end of March 2022, or sooner if it sold out, according to a report at the time from Beyond the Creek.

Until the new store opens, the company’s California directory lists Berkeley and Santa Rosa among its other locations.

The Berkeley store is about 14.5 miles from the planned Walnut Creek location, according to Sur La Table’s Berkeley listing.
