Update: Most Power Back On in Walnut Creek

PG&E crews will work long after midnight finishing the job. At one point, the number of impacted customers is over 4,000.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — PG&E has whittled down the number of customers without power in Walnut Creek from more than 4,000 this afternoon to just over 1,000.

The main outage affects 931 customers. That outage started at 5:24 p.m. There's no estimate of when power will be restored.

Another affects 125. Those customers will not get their electricity back on until 4 a.m. Wednesday.

The initial outage, according to Walnut Creek Police, was several trees that toppled over and took out power lines in the area of Olympic and Tice Valley boulevards.
