This Thursday: 3rd Annual 'Smores at Sundown

This popular family friendly event returns to The Gardens at Heather Farm on Thursday, July 27

Head over to The Gardens at Heather Farm this Thursday, July 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. for a family-friendly event featuring an evening of make-your-own s'mores, pizza and live acoustic music on the lawn showcasing kid-favorites from Moana, Zootopia, Frozen, Lego Movie and more. Resident artist Julia Wilson will demonstrate her botanical weaving process, and kids can do their own nature weaving craft. Walnut Creek's Center for Community Arts and The Ruth Bancroft Garden will also lead special activities for kids. Visual artist, Shawn HibmaCronan, will showcase his unique cord sculpture in the trees.

Admission fee paid at the door includes food and activities:

  • $5 per person for S’mores Pack (comes with a s'mores-making kit)
  • $10 per person for S’mores & Pizza Pack (comes with a s'mores-making kit, two slices of pizza, and a bottle of water)
  • Kids under age two are free (no food included)
  • Cash and credit card accepted

Proceeds from this event go to support the nonprofit public garden, nature education center and special event venue, The Gardens at Heather Farm.
