Since their elementary school years, (l to r) Ryan and Trevor Grauman have been collecting and sending leftover Halloween candy, just in time for the holidays, via the Blue Star Moms to American troops serving our country. When asked what inspired them to take on this endeavor, they succinctly answered: “A family member currently serves in the military…the dedication and sacrifice the troops continue to make touched our hearts…we found a venue that goes beyond politics…we have a chance to show our appreciation by supporting those who support us.”
Ryan and Trevor Grauman have unselfishly demonstrated that the simple task of forwarding leftover Halloween candy to American troops who are far from home and family, especially during the holiday season, has a profound effect on all of us.
Yes, it is better to give than to receive, and the candy surely sweetens the deal. Way to go, guys!
