Urgent Request From Contra Costa County Toys For Tots
Donations are low this year, and a drop-off is set for Wednesday night in Walnut Creek. Please give a toy or two!
The local Marine Corps Toys for Tots drive is accepting new unwrapped toys and donations this Wednesday night -- Dec. 17 -- from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Rocco’s Ristorante Pizzeria in Walnut Creek.
So far, according to the drive sponsors, incoming donations are meager.
“This is the worst year ever for toy donations, “ said Stephanie Surls, a local organizer of the Toys For Tots for the past 20 years. ”Come by, order pizza or dinner, but please bring toy donations. We really need them this year.”
