The fire came dramatically close to structures.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — A two-alarm grass fire in Walnut Creek has been knocked-down, according to Con Fire's Public Information Officer. Now, an extensive overhaul is underway to make sure it doesn't smolder and spring back to life.
Take a look at the photo above to see how close the flames came to structures. The photo included the message, "Multiple homes were threatened but thanks to a quick response and good weed abatement all were protected from fire."
And the message concluded with, "Fire danger is extremely high, exercise caution outdoors."
