Virtual Healthcare Town Hall Monday With Rep. DeSaulnier

East Bay residents can question federal and local health leaders during an online discussion about healthcare access and costs.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — U.S. Rep. Mark DeSaulnier will hold a virtual town hall Monday to discuss healthcare issues affecting Contra Costa County residents and people across the East Bay.

The online event is scheduled from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Monday and will include Contra Costa Health Director Dr. Grant Colfax and Vaishu Jawahar, California state director for Protect Our Care.

The discussion will focus on healthcare access, insurance coverage, prescription drug costs, and recent federal policy changes that could affect patients and providers.

Residents will have an opportunity to submit questions during the meeting, which will be streamed online through Zoom and YouTube.

DeSaulnier, whose congressional district includes Concord, Martinez, Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Orinda, Moraga, Richmond, and surrounding communities, regularly hosts virtual town halls on federal issues affecting local residents.
