Walnut Creek Installing New Parking Meters
They will accept coins, credit cards and ParkMobile mobile phone payments, with Google/Apple payments coming soon.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — The city of Walnut Creek is installing new parking meters downtown this month that are described as easier to use and read.
The new meters, which are scheduled to be installed over the next several weeks, feature a large solar panel that will allow for fewer battery replacements, according to a city news release. They will accept coins, credit cards and ParkMobile mobile phone payments, with Google/Apple payments coming soon. Rates and time limits will remain the same.
The city said it has tested the new meters at the Downtown Walnut Creek Library parking lot since 2017.
