Walnut Creek Insurance CEO Makes 'Top 100' Industry List

WALNUT CREEK, Ca - A Walnut Creek insurance executive has just been recognized in a list of the industry movers and shakers.

Mike Heffernan, CEO of Walnut Creek-based Heffernan Insurance, has been included in Insurance Business America magazine’s Hot 100 list. This annual report features 100 power players who led the industry to new heights over the past year. The list was selected from a pool of nominations from the insurance community and represents a diverse cross-section from CEOs and presidents of major insurers to local heroes.

According to his bio:

Heffernan entered the insurance industry as an intern for Lloyd’s at the age of 22. At 29, he purchased a struggling insurance brokerage with just 10 employees. That brokerage eventually became Heffernan Insurance Brokers, a firm that’s grown over the years to more than 420 employees and nine branches; last year, the company passed $100 million in revenue.
