Walnut Creek Offers On-Call Curb Pickup For Tree Limbs, Leaves

Residents can schedule appointments to have excess shrubbery picked up but are asked to call two weeks in advance of their desired date.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — As local residents plan for fall and lawn clean-up efforts, the City of Walnut Creek is making those efforts easier with an on-call curb collection program, the city recently announced.

Residents who have excess tree trimmings or leaves that do not fit in their green organics cart are able to set up an appointment to have brush picked up without having to worry about hauling it away. Residents are asked to place their trimmings in either BioBag brand bags or paper sacks.

Residents are able to schedule an appointment to have these materials picked up at their curb by calling Republic Services at (925) 685-4711. The city asks that residents call at least two weeks in advance of their desired pick-up date to make for easier scheduling.
